Where Do You Want To Be One Year From Now?
What do you want your 2017 to look like?
You know that old saying, “Previous planning prevents poor performance”?
It doesn’t matter whether you’re a person who likes to stick with the bigger picture or a person who prefers a detailed plan…
You’ll create a considerably more impressive 2017 by taking 10-minutes, now, to plan your stand-out year.
Just 10-minutes, now. Will you do it?
“In your mind, go to January 2018…
From that January 2018 place, look back at your last 12-months…
—What will you have accomplished, completed or actioned during 2017?
(e.g. I’ll be working with a new, impressive Virtual Assistant.)
—What will you feel proud to have achieved, won or succeeded with?
(e.g. I’ll feel proud with what I’ve achieved in bootcamp training.)
—What will you have stopped doing, concluded or ended?
(e.g. I will have stopped procrastinating about piano playing and restarted lessons.)
—How will you “be” during the year?
(e.g. I’ll be a more attentive listener, both at work and out-of-work.)
—This year, what steps will you take to be an even more impressive leader?
(e.g. I’ll model being relaxed and supportive with whomever I meet.)
You Decide How You’ll Do This
- You can simply write down your five clear intentions and do whatever you need to do to keep them near the front of your mind.
- Or you can be more detailed and develop a tactical plan for how you’ll accomplish each.
- Or, you can do what I did this year, write out your intentions and always have your next step for each logged into your To Do list.
How you approach it is your call.
As long as you get very, very clear on your intentions for the year. That’s the most important bit.
Your Call To Action
Please don’t let 2017 be a so, so, uneventful year.
Plan now, lift your momentum and create a year that you’re thrilled with.
Then, you can look forward to feeling pleased with what you’ve done and proud of who you are when January 2018 shows up :-).
